The First Warm Weekend Is When Green Growth Shows Up

• scar wood grain on fences/decks

• leave “clean stripes” where the wand passed but growth is still embedded

Green growth isn’t just sitting on top. It’s bonded to the surface. That’s why soft washing works better than high pressure for siding and most fencing.

What actually works: soft wash + controlled rinse

For siding, the goal is to kill and lift the growth, then rinse it clean without driving water where it doesn’t belong.

For fences and decks, it depends on the material:

• Wood fence/deck: gentler approach so you don’t fuzz the fibers

• Composite: usually cleans up well with the right solution + rinse

• Painted surfaces: careful chemistry and even rinse to avoid patchy results
