Why Triangle Driveways Look Their Worst After Winter

After winter weather, Raleigh driveways tend to look blotchy, dark, and sometimes a little green. Moisture sits in the concrete longer, and that’s when traffic film, red clay splash, and algae show up all at once.

A lot of homeowners try a quick DIY rinse and end up with stripes. A pressure wand cleans in narrow lines, so any overlap mistakes show immediately—especially on long driveways in places like Brier Creek and Knightdale where the sun/shade mix changes across the slab.

The fix is even cleaning, not more force. Pros like P2 Wash, pre-treat to loosen grime, then use a surface cleaner to keep pressure consistent across the whole driveway so it doesn’t come out patchy. Edges and joints get detailed last, because that’s where buildup hides.

If your driveway looks slick when wet, has dark parking lanes that won’t rinse out, or you’ve already got visible wand lines, it’s time to get it handled correctly.
